ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo summarize the 2491 acupuncture inpatient consultations in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University during 2014, and analyze the application of acupuncture in comprehensive hospital, hoping to provide direction and methods for clinical practice and scientific research of acupuncture.

METHODSThe consultation record and hospitalization information during 2014 in Department of Acupuncture-Moxibustion and Tuina, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, were collected and summarized through Inpatient Information Management System. The distribution of consultation discipline and disease were analyzed.

RESULTSAmong all the consultations, 15 second-class disciplines were involved, and the number of neurology and surgery was 1399, accounting for 59.00% of all consultation. 111 types of diseases were found in consultation, mainly postoperative complications, cerebrovascular disease and arthropathy. The primary disease of consultations involved all the systems, mainly nervous system disease, musculoskeletal system disease, connective tissue diseases and genitourinary system diseases, accounting for 73.89% of all consultations. .

CONCLUSIONAcupuncture is closely related with clinical disciplines of neurology and surgery. The cooperation between acupuncture and pediatrics and oncology should be strengthened. Acupuncture has an advantage over treating postoperative complications and neuromuscular diseases.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the application of bundle strategies in the management of multidrug-resistant or-ganisms(MDROs).Methods From July 1 ,2013,bundle intervention measures were applied in the management of MDROs from inpatients in a tertiary first-class hospital, the implementation of isolation measures for MDRO-infec-ted/colonized patients were monitored,April-June 2013 was pre-intervention group,July-September 2013 was the first stage of intervention,October-December 2013 was the second stage of intervention, the qualified rate of each measure and incidence of MDRO infection per 1 000 patient-days before and after intervention were compared. Results From April to December 2013,a total of 3 430 non-repetitive isolates were detected. The qualified rate of doctors’ order “contact isolation ”before intervention and in the second stage of intervention were 78.14% and 95.95% respective-ly;the qualified rate of hanging bed-side isolation signs, providing bed-side quick-drying hand disinfectant, and patients wearing blue wristbands before intervention were 52.70%,66.89%,and 87.16% respectively, and in the second interven-tion stage were all 100.00%.The qualified rate of disinfection of medical supplies and environment,as well as patients’ bed assignments before intervention were 23.65% and 15.54% respectively,in the second stage were 79.79% and 77.66% respectively.Health care workers’awareness rate of hand hygiene knowledge, hand hygiene compliance rate, and hand hygiene correct rate before intervention were 69.70%,45.76%,and 76.35% respectively;in the second stage were 90.23%,87.50%,and 94.58% respectively;the qualified rate of implementation of each isolation measure before inter-vention and in different stages after intervention were all significantly different(all P <0.01).The incidence of MDRO in-fection per 1 000 patient-days before intervention,in the first and second intervention stages were 3.24‰,2.63‰,and 2.20‰ respectively. Conclusion After the monitoring and intervention in MDROs with bundle management strategies, the qualified rate of each measure improved, incidence of MDRO infection per 1 000 patient-days decreased.

ABSTRACT

Objective To examine the brain metabolic changes in WD patients receiving copper chelation by us?ing 1H-MRS. Method Thirty-nine patients with WD was randomly divided into four groups: non-brain type group (18 cases), brain type prior-treatment group and short-term treatment group (21 cases), long-term treatment group (20 cases) from short-term treatment group, and 20 healthy volunteers served as a control group. 1H-MRS and MRI were performed on patients on 1.5/MR/MRS system to detect these above-mentioned items before and after treatment. Result The mean of NAA/Cr was significantly lower in the left putamen and head of the caudate nucleus than in the left basal ganglion in the 39 patients with WD. The mean of NAA/Cr and Cho/Cr in the left putamen and basal ganglion was significantly lower in non-brain type group than in control group(P0.05). The mean of NAA/Cr and NAA/Cho in the left putamen and basal ganglion was much higher in long-term treatment group than in brain type group(P<0.01 or P<0.05). The mean of Cho/Cr in the left head of caudate nucleus were much higher after treatment compared with prior-treatment group(P<0.05). The mean of NAA/Cr in the left putamen, head of the left caudate nucleus and basal ganglion in all groups was negatively correlated with course of the disease. Conclusion There are significant differences in brain metabolism among different type of WD. The long-term but not short-term copper chelation significantly improves brain metabolism. NAA/Cr may be used as a non-invasive indicator to examine the efficacy of treatment.

ABSTRACT

In allusion to high labor intensity, low working efficiency and high error rate in hospital laboratory, a detection system of the enzyme-linked analyzer based on Multiscan EX instrument is developed. Being easy to operate, the detection system proves effective in enhancing working efficiency. It deserves popularizing because of its comprehensive applications to the detection.

ABSTRACT

With a PII-300 computer, a microcomputer system for SCCA marker detection is developed in this paper, which is based on Windows operating system and Visual Basic 6.0. More than 1,000 cases have proved that the results from the system completely accord with the one from artificial detection. With this system, such disadvantages are conquered as high labor intensity, low working efficiency and high error rate, and a quantitative detection method for SCCA marker comes into existence.

ABSTRACT

With a PII-300 computer, an intelligentized microcomputer system for HBV marker detection and reporting is developed in this paper, which is based on Windows operating system and accomplished through Visual Basic6.0. More than 10, 000 cases have proved that the result from the system accords with the one from artificial detection completely. This system solves the problems in hospital laboratory such as high labor intensity, low working efficiency and high error rate, and thus a quantitative detection method for HBV marker comes into existence.
